I was in Romania a few year back, and it's just silly that they don't allow adoptions. There are so many children. Our group visited one orphanage every day for a week and we were only allowed on the first floor with all of the "typical" babies (but in my opinion, it is not typical to have babies lay, without crying in a crib all day...)
Anyway, one day a friend and I secretly ventured upstairs. There we found all of the special needs children whom we hadn't been allowed to visit. The little children rushed to us, grabbed our legs and didn't want to let go. They begged to be held, and didn't everything they could be entertaining to us so that we wouldn't look away from them for a minute. I remembered there being very few staff for so many children, maybe just 2, but they were actually friendly enough. When we left, some of the children threw themselves on the floor in tears. It was heartbreaking.
Those poor children need a chance, they need families. Let's start PRAYING NOW that they open their doors to international adoption. If they would open up, so many children could be listed on Reece's Rainbow, so many children could find families!
I don't know what else to do other than that right now.
Thanks guys,
Amy
